On 4 July, the National Junior Para-Athletics Championships was held, with Owen and Miles Edwardes and Owain Terell in attendance to represent the Weir Archer Academy.

A mixture of gold, silver and bronze medals were achieved by Academy athletes.

Over 100 disabled athletes of various ages gathered from the UK and Ireland to compete over the two days, creating a lively atmosphere.

The Activity Alliance, previously known as the English Federation of Disability Sport, was created in 1998. Their mission is to create more opportunities for disabled people to get active through sports and activities.
